Dawn’s Place
Kitchen
About
This kitchen is set in a large open plan space half of which is oak frame built and looks out on far reaching views of the Somerset countryside. The delicate green tone of the units and the blue grey of the walls bring a little of the outside in. The deep peninsula allows for a breakfast bar with extra storage under the overhang and practical surface space for prepping or serving. The walls either side of the range are free of units evoking a sense of space whilst a tall pull-out larder and pantry out of view provides the storage required. The handcrafted brick tiles are subtle and add texture and interest.
Detail
The scheme combines the light tones of the Teltos Cristal Quartz worksurface and inset hand painted units with the dark colour of the Rangemaster Nexus 110 dual fuel range in Slate. Other appliances include a Neff fully integrated dishwasher and stainless steel compact microwave in keeping with the customers’ own stainless steel fridge and freezer.
The old floor tiles have been replaced with Karndean Knight tile in York Stone. Its warm, mottled hues combine well with the existing oak floor and timbers in the dining area. The Marlborough Seasons brick tiles in Jack Frost are delicately crackle glazed and provide the finishing touch to this understated yet beautiful kitchen design.
