This hand painted, traditional style kitchen has been fitted into a newly built property. When our client first came to us with her architect’s plan she was certain of her requirements and had definite ideas in terms of colour throughout the house. Armed with her clear, concise vision we created her dream. We took aspects from our showroom displays and wove them in amongst her ideas from numerous magazine cuttings. She chose a bold yet beautiful scheme using both light and dark tones. The light, flecked granite complements the dark colour of the base units perfectly. The lighter colour of the wall units and mantel enhance the spacious feel of the open plan room and vaulted ceiling.
My kitchen was designed and organised by Jane at JFK and she was spot on in every aspect. She understood my ideas, always made time for me and oversaw the project with my builders. I 100% recommend JFK as professional and highly skilled. My kitchen was a hand painted one and is admired by all my visitors.
The C-shaped design maximises storage and includes a combination of pan drawers and standard units. The peninsula provides an excellent preparation area, and scope to add interest with its open shelf unit on the outer side and the adjoining bespoke table section on the end. Although the windows limit wall space, the mantel around the range creates a focal point and the wall units around the sink window frame it perfectly. The flyover shelf and glass wall unit allow for ambient lighting.
The Valley White granite provides a practical, hardwearing worksurface. Its flecks and swathes add interest and beauty, its light tones contrasting with the depth of colour below. The appliances and accessories include a Britannia Range oven, a Neff canopy extractor, a Villeroy and Boch Double Farmhouse ceramic sink with Franke Belfast chrome pull out tap and Quooker Round polished chrome boiling water tap.
