About

Our customers’ kitchen is in an old dairy with the original stone floor. Together with the green Aga and vaulted ceiling, the design concept was to keep an open and airy feel to the kitchen, sympathetic to the original use of the room.

The whole experience was so positive, everyone was so professional from the design (thank you for listening and getting it so right Belinda) to the installation and services (thank you in particular to Phil and Dave). We would highly recommend John Franklin Kitchens

Detail

Three Dulux colours were chosen for the handpainted Wessex units, and different depths and heights makes the kitchen appear to have evolved over time. The island is asymmetrical to echo the room shape, with useful storage, open shelving and room for guests to perch on stools. The island top is rustic oak with matching shelves by the Aga and window. A large pantry cupboard and slim ironing board cupboard with wine storage above were made to the customers’ requirements. A Neff oven and compact oven microwave with induction hob were fitted for summer days when the Aga is off. Work surfaces in Bianco Venatino quartz create the effect of marble with easy care qualities, and the Villeroy & Boch Farmhouse sink and Franke stainless steel tap complete the rustic look.
