About
John and Chris Franklin, the original family members of our company have recently moved into a new bungalow built for them in France. Chris wanted an open feel to her new kitchen with easy access to all of her kitchen equipment, small appliances, bread maker and crockery with no lifting or reaching. The room opens up onto the dining area and there is a separate utility room. The kitchen really is the heart of this new home as they spend lots of time cooking and entertaining friends and family.
Our beautiful spacious kitchen perfectly enhances the open plan style of our newly built bungalow. It “ticks all the boxes” on our wanted list – easily accessible deep drawers and a huge double larder. It looks fabulous and everyone loves it. It’s the best kitchen we’ve ever had. Merci beaucoup!
Detail
John and Chris wanted as much easy access storage as possible so a double larder cupboard with oak packet racks on the reverse of the doors and a selection of deep drawers were designed to make life easier for them. Open shelving for everyday mugs, often used storage jars and cookery books were essential. The bread maker pulls out on its own drawer within the larder unit and can be used in situ. They chose their cabinets from our Boston range in a lovely Fjord Blue colour together with oak work surfaces to keep the homely feel of the open plan room. Stainless steel bow handles compliment the shaker style doors.
The tiling has now been finished since we took these photographs with the sample you can see behind the hob area.
