This hand painted kitchen successfully blends traditional and modern features. Set in a new extension with a north facing aspect, the customers wanted to maximise natural light. The units are painted in a French Blue and the granite on both the island and splashback is light but variegated with tones that pick up on the paint colour. The honed black granite on the outer runs gives depth to an otherwise blended palette creating a simple yet sophisticated scheme. The tall units surrounding the American Fridge freezer are set into a lit recess concealing their depth effectively, providing good storage and clever additional lighting. A real focal point of the kitchen is the hob and mantel area where the base units break forward and the chamfered legs mimic the same freestanding effect as the island.
Having renovated several properties in which we fitted off the peg kitchens, this time we wanted something more bespoke. The units are made to measure allowing for a seamless fit and all fittings and fixtures are made to last. We absolutely love everything about our John Franklin Kitchen. All our friends and family know how long we waited for something truly beautiful. It was well worth the wait. Thank you to all the team at JFK. You are amazing!

The units are in-frame with a beaded recessed panel, hand painted in Dulux Heron Satinwood. Brushed satin nickel cup handles and knobs add a modern slant to an otherwise traditional form. The contrasting granite worksurfaces are a mix of Honed Ebony and Andromeda White. The island provides a good preparation area, a large pull out bin, extra storage and a seating area.
The open-end section and square chamfered legs create a decorative, freestanding look. All appliances are Neff and include a single ‘Slide and Hide’ pyrolytic oven, a pyrolytic compact combination oven with microwave, a stainless steel American fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser, a fully integrated dishwasher, an 80cm Gas hob with cast iron pan supports and 90cm canopy extractor. The Perrin and Rowe Belfast sink is coupled with a Franke Eiger Silk Steel tap.
