Quartz is available in a wide variety of colours and patterns. Quartz is harder than granite, and when formed into slabs with resins and pigments, produces a hard wearing, non porous material which weighs less than granite. It still maintains the natural look, feel and mechanical characteristics of natural stone.
The surface is chip and stain resistant and many manufacturers provide a warranty against any defect in the material.
Our picture above shows Teltos quartz, which is manufactured in China and comes with a 15 year warranty.
This stunning kitchen for customers in West Lydford in Somerset was designed to fulfil all the clients wishes. It is a hand painted kitchen which we call Pennard in a shaker design. The quartz worktops and upstands look sleek and stylish with the Franke undermount stainless steel bowls and the glass splashbacks behind the cooking and sink areas, which were colour matched to the kitchen door colour and reflect so much light.
The appliances include
a Neff double oven, built in microwave, induction hob and a glass extractor.
Special height wall units were built and trims, flush fitted around the top ensure no gap between the wall units & ceiling – very easy to keep clean!
