John Franklin Kitchens are excited to have been shortlisted for ‘Family Business of the Year’ at the Mendip Business Awards 2019.
John Franklin Kitchens have been recognised as a long-standing family business which has been successfully trading since 1979. The company was started by John Franklin and his wife, Chris, after they moved to Somerset from Hertfordshire. It all began in a barn, at the bottom of their garden. When the business rapidly grew, they moved to the premises in Glastonbury which is still the home of the showroom and factory today. Brother and sister, Steve and Sue, worked alongside their parents until they decided to retire and move to France.
Today, Sue still successfully runs the family business with many of the original customers returning to John Franklin Kitchens for kitchens and bathrooms. The youngest generation of the John Franklin Kitchen family, Matt and his girlfriend, Jess, are working on the business development and marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and customer retention. Over the years, John Franklin Kitchens has continued to provide a personal, friendly service to all clients, old and new and plan to continue.
