John Franklin Kitchens are delighted to announce winning ‘Family Business of the Year’ at the 2019 Mendip Business Awards.

This award recognises businesses whom have either two or more generations who have worked in the business or two or more currently working together at the business. The strong family connection within the business is important for success, maintaining traditions and updating strategies with a newer generation of family members. This year, John Franklin Kitchens was shortlisted against some amazing companies including Knight’s Fish Restaurant and Burns the Bread Ltd.

John Franklin Kitchens is a well-established business which centers on family and traditions. The company has been successfully trading since 1979, making this year John Franklin Kitchens’ 40th year of business. The company has seen three generations through the years. John and Chris started the business in 1979 with their son Steve, and later all retired to France. Sue, their daughter, has been managing director for the past 18 years. Sue’s son, Matthew and his girlfriend, Jess, are now getting involved with business development and marketing strategies. Over the years, John Franklin Kitchens has continued to provide a personal, friendly service to all clients, old and new and plan to continue.

Sue and the team had a wonderful evening at the Mendip Business Awards. Greeted with canapés and drinks, followed by a beautiful meal from Food4You and a great evening hosted by Ben McGrail from ITV West Country. See all images from the evening below!
